The internal
communication that guides your actions can be easily determined
by integrating a "but" at the end of your statement or
by beginning your statement with "I Can't" or "I
will or I know"; and usually uses the word "because"
to segue into supporting evidence. This self-limiting internal communication
is generalized and limits possibilities because you are usually
convinced of the outcome.
For Example
I would love
to get more education (Internal Interpretation) but I was
never very good in school.
I can't lose
weight (Internal Interpretation) because I am genetically
fat!
I know I will
become wealthy because (Internal Interpretation) I am good
in business.
Your exercise
will look like this-
Desire -
$500,000 home in the mountains.
I would
love to have a $500,000 home in the mountains but (internal
interpretation) I can't earn enough money to afford it.
Desire
- Lose 50 lbs.
I can't
lose 50 lbs. because (Internal Interpretation)
I don't have the will power.
Desire -
Earn 1 million dollars this year
I will earn
a million dollars this year because (Internal interpretation)
I am good at what I do.
Notice how this
internal communication is generalized. If you start becoming more
specific in your internal dialog, you are beginning to create evidence.
For Example:
I know I will
earn a million dollars this year because of the contract I just
sold. The contract is supporting evidence.
I can't lose
weight because I hate to diet and exercise. Hate is a strong emotion
and hating to diet and exercise is supporting evidence.
